Background and purpose

More Filipino students come to Korea for study, Korean language training, and work, and they need a place to talk about settling in and what comes next. Transfer and admission after a program, a change to a D-10 or E-7 visa after graduation, keeping a stay status, and careers after returning home are hard to sort out alone. Students spread across many universities also have few chances to meet.

The event has three aims.

  • Careers, study, and jobs Information on transfer to colleges and four-year universities, graduate school, work in Korea, visa changes, and paths after returning home.

  • One-stop advice Booths for universities, agencies, immigration specialists, and related offices, with one-to-one meetings on site.

  • Networks and culture Talks, networking, and performances of Filipino tradition and contemporary culture.

The morning is for careers and information. The afternoon is for culture and activities. Dates and times for each session are still to be set.
